CBDis all the rage right now, especially in France, where its use is becoming increasingly common. But what exactly is CBD oil? What is it made of, and what is it used for? We answer your questions in this article.
What is CBD oil?
CBD (cannabidiol)oil is currently the most well-known way to consume CBD orally. It comes in a small 10-milliliter bottle containing vegetable oil and CBD, with a dropper cap that allows you to dispense the CBD oil drop by drop. Place the oil under your tongue, wait 30 seconds, and then swallow it.
Because CBD passes through the mucous membranes under the tongue, your body will absorb it more quickly than if it were taken through the usual digestive tract, like other dietary supplements. You’ll feel the effects of CBD within 30 minutes of taking it.
What is CBD oil made of?
CBD oil is therefore made up of two ingredients:
- A vegetable oil, such as olive oil, hemp seed oil, or coconut oil. It is a fat that helps the body absorb CBD (which does not dissolve in water) more effectively, allowing you to get the most out of its benefits. It also provides essential nutrients for the body to function properly.
- A CBD-rich hemp extract: A paste containing all of the hemp’s active compounds—such as cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids—is extracted from hemp biomass. With a higher concentration of CBD, this hemp extract delivers cannabidiol to your body in combination with vegetable oil.
How do you use cannabidiol oil?
Using CBD oil is very simple. First, all you need to do is choose an oil with a strength that’s right for you.
As a reminder:
· One drop of 3% CBD oil provides 1.5 mg of CBD
· One drop of 6% CBD oil provides 3 mg of CBD
· One drop of 9% CBD oil provides 4.5 mg of CBD
· One drop of 20% CBD oil provides 10 mg of CBD
After shaking the bottle well, determine how many drops you need, then place them under your tongue. If you have trouble doing this, you can use a teaspoon to hold the drops.
After placing them in your mouth, wait 30 to 60 seconds, then swallow, with or without a glass of water.
What are the effects of CBD oil?
