If you haven't tried banana bread yet, it's time to do something about it and discover this American specialty!
Since we have quite a sweet tooth, we decided to try out our own recipe for CBD banana bread. It was a huge success—a treat that’s as moist as it is relaxing!
What is banana bread?
This dessert first appeared in the United States in the 1930s. Legend has it that it was created during the Great Depression, when women were looking for ways to use up overripe bananas so they wouldn’t go to waste.
Although it’s literally called “banana bread,” banana bread is actually a cake—moist but dense—that, unsurprisingly, tastes like banana.
Since then, banana bread has continued to grow in popularity, and today it is a staple dessert in all English-speaking bakeries and even has its own national day, celebrated on February 23 in the United States.

Making CBD Butter
First and foremost, you'll need to prepare your flowers so you can incorporate them into the recipe in the form of butter.
Step 1: We start by decarboxylating the CBD flowers.
To do this, crumble them or grind them in a food processor before spreading them out on a baking sheet. Bake them in the oven for 40 minutes at 110 degrees.
Step 2: Melt 100 g of butter in a saucepan, then add the flowers. Let it steep over very low heat (the mixture should not boil) for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Our tip: The longer you let the flowers steep, the higher the CBD content in the butter will be.
Step 3: Once the infusion is complete, strain the mixture and collect the CBD butter. It’s ready to use in the CBD banana bread recipe.

Step 4: Preheat the oven to 165 degrees. Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, combine the different types of flour, ground almonds, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add the chopped bananas (or mashed bananas if you don't have a blender), the butter, the eggs, and the milk. Mix everything together, preferably with a blender.
Finally, stir in the chocolate chips (optional).
Step 5: Butter your baking pan, pour in the batter, and bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
It's ready! Now all you have to do is enjoy it!
Our tip: Store your banana bread in a cool, dry place. For an extra treat, toast a few slices in the oven or toaster, then spread a little butter on them. It’s delicious!
Why should I add CBD to my banana bread?
CBD, or cannabidiol, occurs naturally in the cannabis plant, also known as hemp. This compound offers a wide range of benefits that help improve our well-being.
Studies on CBD have highlighted its various effects on our health. CBD is, in fact, an excellent stress reliever: it eases anxiety and stress to help you regain your sense of calm.
By promoting relaxation of the body and mind, it helps you fall asleep and ensures better sleep quality.
Finally, it may also relieve certain types of pain, reduce inflammation, and improve digestion.
All these benefits can be incorporated directly into your cooking. To do so, simply make sure your recipe includes a fat, such as butter or milk, and that the cooking temperature does not exceed 180°C to avoid denaturing the plant’s properties.Purchasing high-qualityCBD in the formof oil or flowers allows you to transform your dishes into true allies for your well-being while still enjoying a delicious meal.
